It helps enormously if you say which iPhone you have, which iOS version, and the version shown at the bottom of the Me screen.
Common questions
My tree died and I did not leave the app
Deep focus ends a tree if you open another app while it is growing. Locking your phone is fine — that is the whole point — and so is pressing Home and putting the phone down, as long as the screen sleeps shortly afterwards.
What does end a session is spending more than 20 seconds in another app. You get a warning notification 5 seconds after leaving, and coming back promptly saves the tree.
If a tree died and none of that describes what happened, please write in — that is a bug and we would want to know.
Will I lose my grove if I change phone?
Not if iCloud backup is on — check Me → iCloud backup. Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new phone, install Thicket, and your grove comes back on first launch.
You can also keep a copy yourself with Me → Back up to a file, and read it back with Restore from a backup. Restoring only ever adds; it never removes anything you already have.
I paid, but the app still shows the free version
Open the full version screen and tap Restore at the top right. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so make sure you are signed in with the same one you bought with.
How do I cancel a subscription?
iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; everything you have already earned stays yours, and your grove and history are never touched.
Why can I not plant a species I earned?
Every species can be earned on the free version — the work counts and the unlock is yours. The free version can plant four of them; the full version plants all of them, including everything you earned while waiting.
Can I use Thicket without iCloud?
Yes. Everything except backup works with no account and no network at all.
